NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBER FOR JIMARA DONATED ITEMS TO SCHOOL AND HEALTH FACILITIES TO FULFILL CAMPAIGN PROMISES

National Assembly Member for Jimara, Hon. Essa Conteh, has donated medical items to ten health facilities across The Gambia, courtesy of the Arambia Association in Spain. Out of these ten health facilities, seven are situated in the Upper River Region. Additionally, items were donated to schools, including Mindaw High School in Farato and the Soninkara Skills Centre in Basse. These items comprise office furniture, computers, sewing machines, technical skills materials, and sporting gear.

Hon. Essa Conteh expressed sincere appreciation to the partners from Spain for their incredible support to The Gambia. He specifically thanked the President of the Arambia Association, Mr. Enriqu Cardiel Garijo, for his unwavering support, noting that without him, these impactful projects wouldn’t have been possible. He emphasized that their generosity is truly shaping a brighter future for the country.

During the National Assembly election, the National Youth Parliament, through its Wahjef project funded by the International Republican Institute, tracked campaign promises of members to ensure transparency and accountability. Hon. Essa Conteh made promises to come up with projects to complement the government’s efforts, and this donation is part of his efforts to fulfill those promises.

Hon. Conteh is currently working to fulfill these and other promises he made to the people of Jimara.
